Little is known about the great monk Order of Elven Herbs and Spices. What is known is that membership is not restricted to only elves. This implies that it was not the monks whom were elven in nature, but the actual herbs and spices themselves. So it is the elves one must thank for the existence of Elven Eleven Spice, a seasoning blend so savory that it inspired an entire Order of monastic tradition.
Though not technically a theistic order, it is rumored that many members of the Order give worship to a being known only as The Colonel. Not much is known of this minor deity, other than he favors his spices. Other lore suggests The Colonel's affection for beaches and deserts by inclusion of a yet non-translatable word: Sanders. His holy symbol is shaped like a wishbone, and followers that take on animal companions are usually surrounded by chickens. Monks that multi-class into cleric will often wield a cleaver in association with The Colonel's preferred weapon, and monks that multi-class into ranger automatically gain minotaur as a free favored enemy (chicken vs. beef).
*While the great Order of Elven Herbs and Spices (OEHS henceforth) exists canonically within our world, most (if not all) of the information pertaining to the great OEHS on this page is in fact not canon (or at least not yet). The Order exists solely to annoy our benevolent DM, and the "lore" dump in this section follows that agenda. The Order's existence is pure accident followed by fate; when trying to establish the name of Basil's Order out-of-character, Ron jokingly suggested calling it, "the Order of Eleven Herbs and Spices," a KFC joke due to Basil being named after seasoning. It was then Lewis who majestically mistyped "eleven" in chat as "elven" and the rest is history.
